WHO WE ARE

The Academic and Career Development Initiative Cameroon (ACADI) is a non-profit community-based organisation founded in 2010 by a group of visionary young people committed to creating positive change in the lives of youth across Cameroon and Sub-Saharan Africa. The organization was officially registered in 2018.

We work at the intersection of career development, youth empowerment, health promotion, research, and community engagement — collaborating with individuals, institutions, and partners to foster sustainable development.

Guided by our vision — Empowered Communities, Sustainable Futures — we are dedicated to helping every young person discover, develop, and utilise their talents.

Youth Digital Skills & Career Empowerment Program

Through targeted training in digital literacy, professional skills, and career orientation, ACADI equips young people with the tools to compete in the modern economy. Over 1,275 youths have been trained to date.

RECOURS Youth Start-Up Support Scheme

RECOURS provides aspiring young entrepreneurs with practical business training, micro-loan facilitation, and start-up support, enabling them to launch income-generating ventures and contribute to community economic growth.

School Career Orientation & Academic Support Program

ACADI reaches students through school outreach, career clubs, and counselling — helping young people understand their options and make informed choices about their academic and professional futures. Over 2,230 youths have been engaged.
